Education and Training
Dr. Lee completed his undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where he developed a dual passion for architecture and medicine: one for design and creativity, the other for healing and science. Plastic surgery provided the perfect intersection of both interests. After earning his Medical Degree from UBC’s School of Medicine in 1995, Dr. Lee completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Western Ontario, gaining advanced experience in reconstructive and hand surgery.
His residency included specialized training at the renowned Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC), one of Canada’s top facilities for upper extremity surgery. Following residency, Dr. Lee returned to Vancouver to complete a combined fellowship in breast and cosmetic surgery. There, he expanded his expertise through work with the UBC Breast Reconstruction Program, under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Lennox and the late Dr. Patricia Clugston.
