Education and Training
Raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dr. Murabit completed undergraduate studies in Anatomy and Mathematics at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by her Doctor of Medicine (MD) with Distinction from the same institution. She then pursued residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, where she served as Chief Resident and earned multiple clinical research awards for her contributions to the field. Following residency, Dr. Murabit completed fellowship training in Paediatric Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cleft Surgery at the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, England.
Her international training also includes:
- Microtia and Auricular Reconstruction with Dr. Françoise Firmin (Paris, France)
- Secondary Cleft Reconstruction, Orthognathic Surgery, and Microsurgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Taipei, Taiwan)
- Craniofacial and Cosmetic Surgery under Dr. Ivo Pitanguy (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
