Education and Training
A native of Richmond, British Columbia, Dr. Ratanshi began his academic career studying Chemical Engineering, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and the University of Calgary (Calgary, Alberta).
He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Calgary, followed by Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency training at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. Dr. Ratanshi then pursued dual subspecialty training in Microsurgery and Craniofacial Surgery, making him one of the few Canadian plastic surgeons to hold advanced fellowships in both disciplines.
