Dr. Imran Ratanshi, MD, MSc, FRCSC is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the newest member of The Plastic Surgery Group at City Centre in Surrey, British Columbia. He serves as the Lead Reconstructive Craniofacial Surgeon and Microsurgeon for the Fraser Health Authority, providing care at multiple hospitals across the region, including Surrey Memorial Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, Jim Pattison Outpatient Centre, Peace Arch Hospital, and Eagle Ridge Hospital. Dr. Ratanshi also performs cosmetic surgery at Valley Medical Centre, offering patients a wide range of procedures that blend aesthetic artistry with reconstructive precision. A native of Richmond, British Columbia, Dr. Ratanshi began his academic career studying Chemical Engineering, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and the University of Calgary (Calgary, Alberta).

He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Calgary, followed by Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency training at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. Dr. Ratanshi then pursued dual subspecialty training in Microsurgery and Craniofacial Surgery, making him one of the few Canadian plastic surgeons to hold advanced fellowships in both disciplines.
