Education and Training

Raised in British Columbia, Dr. Oxley earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of British Columbia, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He went on to complete a Plastic Surgery residency through UBC, training at Vancouver General Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, and BC Children’s Hospital.

To expand his global surgical perspective, he also trained internationally in London and Paris, where he refined advanced reconstructive and aesthetic techniques before returning to Canada to establish his practice. Since 2006, Dr. Oxley has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia, where he teaches and mentors surgical residents from across Canada, including the Universities of Calgary and Western Ontario.

Dr. Oxley is an accomplished athlete and an active member of the local community. A passionate skier, scuba diver, runner, and cyclist, he is a founding rider of the RBC Whistler GranFondo and has been involved in road cycling for more than 25 years. He is a former member of the Canadian National Age Group Triathlon team and competed at the 2015 World Championships.
