About Dr. Rizwan Mian

Dr. Rizwan Mian is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than two decades of experience in reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. Based in Surrey, British Columbia, he is a founding member of The Plastic Surgery Group at City Centre. Dr. Mian served as Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery for the Fraser Health Authority and was Chief of Surgery at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgical Centre. Dr. Mian’s practice combines technical mastery with a commitment to improving patient outcomes across both hospital and private settings. His expertise and leadership have helped shape the standard of plastic surgery care throughout the Lower Mainland.

Education and Training

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Dr. Mian completed his undergraduate studies at the University of King’s College before earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, Cum Laude, from Dalhousie University School of Medicine. He then completed a Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Western Ontario, where he developed extensive experience in reconstructive and microsurgical procedures. Dr. Mian further advanced his academic and surgical expertise by earning a Master of Surgery degree for his research in tissue engineering at the Bernard O’Brien Institute of Microsurgery, University of Melbourne.
